JOB SUMMARY

Provide primary health care services to patients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Obtain medical history, perform physical exam, order, and interpret appropriate laboratory tests and x-rays. Diagnose and prescribe treatment and medication as indicated.

Provide clinical instruction for nursing, nurse practitioner, medical and physician assistant students.

Provide individual patient education on common problems and health maintenance recommendations.

Perform procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, debridement of wounds, skin lesion removal/biopsies, endometrial biopsies as indicated.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND SKILLS

Individual would need to be eligible for Certification as Nurse Practitioner and eligible for Kentucky licensure as Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. Hire date would be after certification and licensure are granted.

EXPERIENCE

Four years experience of nursing experience.
