Direct and manage the financial and business operations of a college or major departmental unit.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the business operation of a large department with a budget in excess of two million dollars or a comparable financial structure.
Direct the preparation of budget adjustments and the consolidation of departmental or divisional budgets into a single budget.
Determine response, distribution, and assignment of incoming correspondence.
Advise the supervisor regarding problem areas and necessary action.
Participate in meetings and seminars on financial and administrative matters.
Oversee the personnel transactions of the unit.
Prepare budget estimates, monitor expenditures, and implement budget changes.
Direct and coordinate budget analysis projects.
Prepare required unit reports involving research, data gathering, compilation, and analysis.
Interview, hire, train, and direct clerical support staff.
Work directly with professional staff in the development of grant and contract proposals.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Training and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
Four years of related Business experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
