JOB SUMMARY
Maintain, repair, calibrate, and install electronic instrumentation, associated computers, and support equipment used in research and teaching activities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Maintain, repair, calibrate, install, and test electronic instrumentation, associated computers, and support equipment.
Consult with faculty and assist in repair and maintenance of PC hardware, operating systems, and communications software.
Manage electronics shop. Design and build electronics. Order parts and supplies as needed.
Supervise calibration schedule for electronics instrumentation.
Maintain and install alarm systems and security devices.
Advise department on maintenance policies and procedures.
Act as liaison between department and other service organizations, contractors, and suppliers.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
EXPERIENCE
Three years instrument design and maintenance experience, or related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
