JOB TITLE: Clinical Physicist

Participate in treatment planning, machine calibrations, quality assurance and brachytherapy within Radiation Oncology, J. Brown Cancer Center.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Perform all aspects of treatment planning, computer development and application work and brachytherapy.
Perform manual dose calculations, patient chart-checking, patient-oriented physics support and fabrications of shields.
Perform equipment calibration and maintenance; perform dosimetry measurements.
Perform quality assurance on therapy machines, simulator and computer.
Act as an isotope curator and assure radiation safety.
Teach radiological physics to residents and technology students.
Assist the Chief Radiological Physicist in research and development.
Perform other related duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Master's degree in Physics or Medical Physics. Certification by American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) or be Board eligible
Six years of related experience
