Develop, coordinate and monitor activities and programs directed toward the recruitment of qualified applicants for medical school.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and supervise activities which contribute to the recruitment process, both on-campus and remote locations.
Coordinate the Guaranteed Entrance to Medical School (GEMS) program.
Serve as liaison with pre-medical advisors and student groups and alumni.
Provide support for activities designed to assist high school guidance counselors in familiarizing high school students to careers in medicine.
Review and assist in revision of departmental procedures.
Supervise the activities of office staff and medical student volunteers.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate campus tours for applicants, pre-applicants, and appropriate student groups.
Create and revise recruitment materials.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Training and Skills
Master's degree in Counseling, Marketing, Communications, Psychology, or related field.
Two years of related experience.
An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
