Job Summary

Counsel prospective students by reviewing applications and providing information about admissions procedures and educational programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Counsel individual applicants or groups concerning the admissions application process. Provide information on educational programs and the University.

Participate in planned programs and activities; evaluate programs and prepare summary reports.

Assist in the preparation of materials for publication and promotion.

Review, evaluate and make decisions on student applications or requests based on established guidelines.

Provide information and interact with professionals such as high school counselors or academic departments.

Knowledge, Training and Skills

Bachelor's degree.


Two years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
