Provide academic and career counseling for University students.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Counsel individual students on a wide range of problems including academics, financial aid, personal and career objectives.
Plan and conduct group guidance programs.
Serve as liaison with college officials, community agencies, and students for referral purposes.
Assist in student recruiting including high school visitations.
Review, select, develop and order counseling materials.
Gather, review and interpret student data for purposes of assessing guidance needs.
May assist in testing and registering of students.
Coordinate and publicize student activities and projects designed to provide talent and leadership development.
Participate in planned programs and activities.
Assist in the preparation of reports of a confidential nature.
Perform related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND SKILLS
Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling or a related field.
One year of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
