Provide administrative staff support to the University Provost
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Prioritize and plan complex schedule of meetings and activities for University Provost. Coordinate Provost's schedule with that of the President, Trustees, Vice Presidents, Deans, et al. Manage Provost's time for reading, writing, advance preparation for presentations. Organize relevant information for meetings.
Receive Provost's telephone calls, screen, and respond appropriately; resolve or refer calls to other individuals or offices. Field calls from internal and external callers: President, Trustees, Overseers, deans, chairs, faculty, students, parents and members of the community.
Review Provost's e-mail for calendar items; bring urgent calendar items to Provost's attention.
Serve as personal assistant to Provost; make arrangements to enable the Provost to attend evening and weekend events on behalf of the University.
Arrange air, hotel and conference registrations and itineraries for Provost. Follow up seating assignments, ticketing and ground transportation. Stay in touch with Provost when traveling.
Draft congratulatory notes, nominations, references and other responses for Provost's signature. Prepare manuscript review for Provost.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Eight years of related experience.
An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
