JOB TITLE: Director, Information Technology - Resource Centers

CLASS CODE:  000150   

JOB SUMMARY

Direct and control the Resource Centers a major service within Information Technology.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Direct the eight Copy Centers on three campuses.

Provide leadership and coordination of the Copyright Clearance service for the University.

Supervise the University Copier Management program consisting of placement, billing and inventory of 400+ departmental copiers.

Direct the Uniprint (pay for print) program, microform services, mainframe (a 24 hour/6day a week operation), and payroll check printing for the University.

Manage the human resources of the unit including recruiting, training, career planning, staff development, evaluation and discipline.

Plan and manage a budget of over $2,000,000 including resource deployment, revenue generation, and monitoring of expenditures and revenue.

Develop and promote Resource Centers’ relationship with its customers and other IT service units.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Computer Science or related field.

EXPERIENCE

Seven years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
