Manage the anesthesia personnel and supplies to provide safe, effective and efficient care for anesthetized patients.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide safe, effective and efficient care for anesthetized patients.
Direct and supervise the work of anesthesia personnel including the maintenance of supplies, equipment, and drugs and the setting up of rooms between cases.
Act as liaison between the Department Chairman and the CRNA Staff.
Participate in the hiring, orientation, evaluation, and dismissal of CRNA Staff.
Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and educational programs and activities.
Assist in the evaluation, recommendation, and purchase of new equipment and supplies.
Maintain staff files including documentation of licensure and certification.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Training and Skills
Master's degree in Nursing. Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. American Association of Nurse Anesthetists Certification.
Four years of Clinical experience as a CRNA with administrative and Management responsibilities. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
