Job Title: Associate Director, Student Financial Aid
Class Code: 000139  

Job Summary

Coordinate the administration of federal, state, University, and private financial aid programs and direct the computer related activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the function of the Application Processing Unit, the Information Processing Unit and the Professional/ Administrative staff of the Department.

Coordinate the unit's computer related activities for planning, research programs and reporting.

Review appeals and applications, and authorize financial aid awards to student applicants.

Assist in the preparation of budget requests, grants proposals and reports.

Develop and conduct in-service training programs for Unit personnel to notify them of procedural and policy changes affecting financial aid and/or the institution.

Counsel students and other interested parties regarding the types of financial aid programs available, program requirements and responsibilities, and application procedures.

Participate in workshops, seminars and professional activities.

Serve on University and community out-reach efforts.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Training and Skills

Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Business Administration or Higher Education Administration.

Experience

Four years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
