Job Title: Superintendent, Electrical Maintenance
Class Code:   000117

Job Summary

Estimate, plan and manage the University's electrical construction and maintenance activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, supervise and review all electrical services and maintenance programs provided by the Electrical Maintenance Department.

Estimate time and costs associated with proposed electrical projects.

Make building inspections and issue work orders for needed repairs.

Consult state and federal regulatory agencies, ensure guidelines are met and maintain all related records and reports.

Coordinate electrical assignments with other construction activities on new or renovation projects.

Develop and implement a safety program that complies with state and federal regulations.

Evaluate and recommend new equipment or procedures to improve services provided.

Train and supervise supporting Foremen and staff.

Perform related duties as required.

Knowledge, Training and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.

Experience

Six years of experience in Electrical Maintenance and Supervision.
