Professional & Administrative Job Specification 

JOB TITLE: Associate Director External Programs
CLASS CODE: 000099  


Direct, organize, and implement regional and international club activities, programs, initiatives, and events.


Direct existing club network, and identify and establish new clubs. Plan, schedule and coordinate Alumni Club events, such as speaking engagements by the university personnel, administrators and faculty; club fundraising events and mailings; annual social activities; athletic related events; and training/information workshops for alumni leaders.

Direct through supervision of the Commonwealth and Corporate Alumni Clubs Coordinator, alumni involvement in student recruitment. Plan and direct the activities of the Alumni Admissions Ambassadors Organization. Coordinate the activities of the parent association.

Design and develop communications programs to disseminate information about club activities and the university to regional and international activities. Develop information for alumni web-site for global communications.

Coordinate other special projects such as homecoming activities and other special events.

Represent the university at regional alumni club meetings and special events. Represent the Alumni Association on its' committees of the Board of Directors.


Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel, or related field.


Five years of related experience.

An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
