Direct the operations, including budget, personnel and programs for a comprehensive undergraduate recruitment program, admissions processing, (includes administering University admissions policies), Testing, Orientation, transfer credit evaluation and TLC.
Duties and Responsibilities
Direct the planning, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive undergraduate recruitment plan.
Direct the operations of admissions processing, including administering University admissions policies for most undergraduate units and processing of all graduate applications, and the maintenance of computer system to support these processes.
Direct the process of initial evaluation of transfer credit, including maintenance of the Student Transcript System, access to reports by units and publication of the transfer manual.
Administer budget and direct programs to enhance retention of students, including welcome stations, exam posts, Cardinal grams, Freshman Convocation and the faculty-student interaction program.
Oversee operations of the Testing Center.
Plan, develop and direct post-admission and orientation programs.
Manage and monitor expenditures to stay within budget and develop budget proposals for new and reallocated funds.
Recruit, select, train, evaluate, plan work for staff and provide professional development.
Maintain professional recognition through publication and participation in professional activities.
Serve on committees as requested. Serve as liaison with other units of the University and external agencies as appropriate.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Vice President for Student Services.
Knowledge, Training and Skills
Master's degree in College Student Personnel or Higher Education Administration.
Six years related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substitutued for the requirement noted.
