Job Title: Assistant Dean, Undergraduate Studies
Class Code: 000023  

Job Summary

Assist the Dean of the College in areas of curriculum and scheduling and serve as the Dean's liaison on college and University committees.

Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in the administration of the College including advising department chairs on undergraduate curriculum and programs, serving on Deans advisory group for general college management, assisting in the development of College Strategic Plan, preparation of unit budget and internal program review.

Represent the College on various University committees.

Coordinate and oversee the development and revision of programs and courses; represent Dean on Curriculum Committee; serve as liaison with undergraduate units, University and external offices; manage College catalog.

Manage scheduling of all College courses.

Oversee Unit General Education Program including curriculum and policy issues.

Supervise College Orientation Course including course content, staffing course sections and policy development.

Oversee College Honors Program including identification and approval of students for program participation.

Represent Dean at University and community functions.

Perform related duties as required.

Knowledge, Training and Skills

Doctorate degree in appropriate field.


Five years of related experience.
