Job Title: Manager, Hazardous Waste Worker Training
Class Code:   000019  

Job Summary

Direct and administer the Midwest Consortium Hazardous Waste Worker Training Center at the University of Louisville.

Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and direct the activities of the Louisville Training Center involving supervision of all associated professional, technical and clerical support staff.

Serve as a member of various committees of the Midwest Consortium involved in planning and direction of the program.

Review and approve program faculty and staff selections, assign duties, approve training schedules.

Identify opportunities, negotiate and approve contracts with corporate and governmental organizations for delivering on-site (contact) programs.

Develop curriculum to meet all training requirements, deliver training modules.

Develop and approve Train-the-Trainer Program.

Develop budget and marketing plan and approve all equipment and instrument purchases.

Represent the Program to various public and media groups.

Knowledge, Training and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field. Certified Industrial Hygienist preferred.

Experience

Five years of related experience.
