Job Title: Associate Director of Admissions and Minority Recruitment
Class Code: 000002  

Job Summary

Plan, direct, and implement minority recruitment and school relations activities throughout Kentucky and serve as primary institutional liaison for all minority recruitment efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as primary institutional liaison to school, organizations and agencies.

Provide leadership to facilitate new joint ventures and cooperative programming in support of constituent's needs for higher education.

Plan, direct, and implement minority recruitment/school relations activities throughout Kentucky, with special focus on Jefferson Co. and the five county contiguous area.

Provide direction and training for staff in the management of daily office operations.

Direct all aspects of the recruitment of Woodford Porter, Sr. scholars to include the Urban College Fair, assistance with the Spring Trustees' Scholars Reception, and the Jefferson Co. Open House.

Monitor all budgets for Minority Recruitment and School Relations.

Advise and counsel students seeking information and access to post-secondary education with special emphasis on and to ensure that affirmative action objectives are met.

Review and adjudicate applications for admissions throughout the year, handle campus tours, and admit students during walk-in registration periods.

Develop and print current publications supportive of minority recruitment.

Knowledge, Training and Skills

Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, Counseling or related field.

Experience

Five years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
