Job Title: Assistant Director Admissions, New Student Programs
Class Code: 000001 

Job Summary

Oversee the operations of the new student programs area of admissions. Coordinate all major on-campus recruitment programs and assist others in planning smaller programs. Coordinate all new student orientation programs. Administer and evaluate Tender Loving Care program, including implementation of major retention programs and allocation of budget to other retention programs. Coordinate the Admissions Office telecounseling program and select and train student paraprofessionals, both paid and volunteer, to support a variety of recruitment and retention programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate all major on-campus recruitment programs.

Coordinate all new student orientation programs.

Coordinate TLC program, a retention effort focused but not limited to the first year experience.

Supervise one professional staff, one support staff, one part-time telecounseling coordinator, over 20 volunteers and over 40 student assistants.

Oversee the budget for TLC, orientation, and telecounseling program.

Participate in professional and personal development activities.

Knowledge, Training and Skills

Master's degree in college student personnel, higher education, guidance and counseling

Experience

Minimum of four years in a related field.

An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
