Job Summary

Leadership, supervisory position within Information Technology's Operations Center managing staff and system operation of associated enterprise computing systems along with computer facilities. Responsibilities include staffing, training and assurance of system(s) availability.

Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as Operations Center Team Leader to provide leadership, training, technical guidance and administrative functions for the staff assigned to the Operations Center.

Serve as advanced HelpDesk consultant for the Operations Center staff.

Manage critical service calls and/or issues related to system availability and customer satisfaction to insure expedient resolutions.

Identify, plan and acquire service opportunities within the Operations Center.

Develop and maintain customer guidance tools for the Operations Center staff and the university community.

Participate in Training and team support activities.

Knowledge, Training and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or Education.


Five years of related experience.

An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
