JOB TITLE: Assistant to the Provost - Center for Faculty Personnel

Direct all activities of the University's Center for Faculty Personnel.


Review and process triptychs for ALL faculty and administrator personnel recommendations, including appointments, promotions, tenure, leaves of absence, resignations, retirements, etc.

Serve as Provost's liaison and coordinate all searches for all dean positions. Provide or arrange for and supervise staff support for all stages of searches. Coordinate all five-year performance reviews of deans and vice presidents.

Serve as Faculty Personnel representative and make policy recommendations for all faculty personnel-related areas for Project Orion.

Serve as Affirmative Action Coordinator for University Provost Office.

Oversee maintenance of University's official faculty records. Oversee preparation and distribution of individualized faculty employment contracts.

Oversee maintenance of University's official tenure process, schedules and records. Manage faculty recruitment budget. Design and revise forms for faculty personnel needs.

Serve as University's primary resource person on any faculty personnel related matter. Research background information and advise Provost on requests from deans for retention and use of faculty positions. Respond to open records requests regarding faculty files. Respond to requests for information regarding faculty, or University faculty policies, procedures, practices. Monitor practices and trends regarding faculty policies and concerns. Respond to faculty-related correspondence or draft responses for Provost.


Master's degree.


Seven years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
