Devise, implement and direct recruitment programs for adult/transfer students and ancillary admissions activities designed to articulate comprehensive university educational opportunities to varied constituencies. Oversee the development and distribution of information regarding adult/transfer students to new and existing markets. Plan and execute marketing plan that will promote the development of effective programs and services for adults, enhance recruitment, adult participation, and establish partnerships between U of L, community colleges, and the business community.


Direct implementation of the university's strategic plan for meeting adult and transfer recruitment goals and objectives.

Coordinate and facilitate the interface of adult and transfer recruitment with new technologies, telemarketing, the Internet, videos, advertising and publications.

Direct and plan the integration of adult and transfer recruitment as well as Eagle and Gold Scholarship processing with general admissions office recruitment strategies.

Plan and participate in Admissions programs, outreach activities and community events throughout the state with emphasis on prospective adult and transfer students.

Adjudication of undergraduate applications for admission. Advise and counsel prospects on accessing postsecondary education and provide support for organizations providing such information; admit students during walk-in registration.

Provide supervision to front desk staff and assigned support staff. Coordinate office coverage of both professional and support staff.

Actively participate in professional organizations in order to enhance job performance and opportunities through professional development and training. Serve on university committees and assume other duties assigned by the Director of Admissions.


Master's degree in Student Personnel Administration or Counseling.


Five years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
