EEO for Minorities and Women

It is the policy of the University to recruit, hire, and train and promote persons in all job titles without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex or national origin. The University shall make employment decisions in order to further the principle of equal employment opportunity, and will take steps to assure that only valid requirements are imposed for employment opportunities. Personnel actions, such as compensation, benefits, transfers, layoffs, return from layoff, the University’s-sponsored training and education, tuition remission, and social and recreational programs will be administered without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, or national origin. In addition, the University policies forbid sexual harassment, which is a form of sex discrimination.

The University will take affirmative action efforts to recruit minorities and women for jobs where they have previously been underrepresented. The University will also include minorities and women in management training programs. No distinction based on race or sex is made in any training program. For special training programs, these efforts should include contacts directed at these groups.

In addition, the University maintains a policy of non-discrimination against members of various religious and ethnic groups, as well as persons of various national origins, in all employment practices.
