It is the policy of the university to employ, and advance in employment, qualified disabled individuals at all levels within the university.
The university shall review its personnel practices to determine whether its present procedures assure careful, thorough and systematic consideration of the job qualifications of disabled applicants (including disabled employees seeking promotion) for job vacancies and for all training opportunities.
All physical and mental job qualifications and requirements shall be reviewed at certain intervals to assure that they are job-related and are consistent with business necessity and the safe performance of the job.
It is the policy of the university to undertake outreach and positive recruitment activities to provide opportunities for qualified disabled individuals. Reasonable accommodation shall be made to the physical and mental limitations of employees or applicants.
The university shall offer both employment and promotion in employment to disabled individuals. Compensation shall be determined without regard to any disability income, pension or other benefit that the applicant or employee receives from any other source.
