Affiliated Housing

What is affiliated housing?

The University of Louisville and Campus Housing currently have a contractual relationship with several off campus student housing apartment complexes. While these are not U of L campus Residence Halls they are located very close to campus.  We refer to these as our Affiliated Housing program. Currently, the following properties are under this affiliation contract: The Province, The Clubhouse, The Nine, and The Quad.

Who can live in affiliated housing?

Any upper-level student (sophomore and above) may live at an affiliated apartment property.

What are some perks of living with an affiliate versus a non-affiliate?

By choosing to become a UofL affiliate, these properties they have agreed to certain terms to include such things as: prompt service for maintenance request and 24/7 emergency response to facilities issues; providing solid core doors; fire extinguishers, off-site monitoring of duress alarms, fire alarm and suppression system for each building, and a scheduled program for security patrol and monitoring. Additionally, each property agrees to maintain certain levels of staffing, and on-call system, programming and community development activities.

The Affiliate Housing program offers students a traditional landlord / tenant relationship and that are usually for a traditional 12 month lease. Student who are interested in more information about the Affiliated Housing program can contact the Off Campus Student Services.
