Parental Involvement and FERPA

We appreciate that this is an exciting time in students’ lives and that parents want to ensure the best experience possible for their children.  Because the housing application requires a contract signature and due to FERPA, we are limited in what we may share with parents and how we can assist them.  We are able to share the following directory information:

  • Student’s Name
  • Local and Home address
  • Email address
  • Telephone listing

The staff will be happy to share assignment information, and what pieces may still be incomplete on an application.  We can email you the application instructions.  We are unable to walk parents through the application and under no circumstances will we share or reset a password for a parent.  We also cannot share any financial information.  If a parent calls with questions or details, we can work to contact the student to follow up with concerns.
