Student Employment
Desk assistants staff front desks in the residence halls. They are responsible for checking visitors in and out and provide security on their areas.
FAs help maintain the residence halls. They are responsible for replacing light bulbs, repairing furniture, moving equipment, etc.
FYGs mentor first-year students during their first weeks on campus to help provide a smooth transition to college life for new students.
Rats are responsible for providing technical support to residence hall students and maintaining computers in the Housing Office.
Office assistants are responsible for providing support for Housing Office and residence hall staff. These students provide desk coverage, do filing, and collect data for reports, etc.
RAs oversee residence hall floors or wings of a residence hall. RAs are very knowlegdgeable about university resources and bring a great deal of expertise about many areas of college life to their residents.
