Fall 2018 Honors Advising Campaign Details

This page provides information on the Honors advising appointment sign-up procedures for Fall 2018.

Whether or not you're required to see an Honors advisor, all current Honors students are welcome to make an advising appointment.


Who is required to see an Honors advisor?

  • All HON 101 students
  • All incoming Fall 2018 Honors freshmen enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences with fewer than 24 hours earned (not including Fall 2018 classes)
  • Any current Honors student or Honors Scholar who wishes to take an Honors class or Scholars Seminar in Spring 2019

Who is not required to see an Honors advisor?

  • Students not currently on Good Standing (or Probation) within Honors or Honors Scholars
  • Honors students (excluding HON 101 students and incoming Fall 2018 A&S Honors freshmen) who do not wish to take an Honors class or Scholars Seminar in Spring 2019
  • Honors students or Honors Scholars who plan to graduate in December 2019

The Honors Advising Window:

  • Appointments
    • Honors Scholars - Mon., Sept. 10 – Fri., Oct. 26*
    • Honors – Mon., Sept. 17 – Fri., Oct. 26*
  • *Please note:
    • Fall Break is Mon., 10/8 - Tues., 10/9, so there will be no appointment availability on these dates.
    • Please arrive promptly in the Etscorn Honors Center on your appointment date/time. If you arrive to your appointment 10 or more minutes after the scheduled appointment time, you will be required to reschedule for a later date/time subject to counselor availability.
  • Walk-In Advising
    • Mon., Oct. 29 - Fri., Nov. 2, 8:30-11:30AM & 1-4PM
    • Priority Registration for all current Honors students
      • 8AM on Thurs., Nov. 1

    The Procedure:

    • Honors Scholars – will receive the CardSmart/EAB campaign e-mail from Kirsten Armstrong around 7:45AM on Wednesday, 9/5 in their CardMail accounts.
    • All other Honors students – will receive the CardSmart/EAB campaign e-mail from Kirsten Armstrong around 7:45AM on Thursday, 9/6 in their CardMail accounts.
    • HON 101 students – You must meet with your HON 101 advising instructor, so please keep this in mind when scheduling your appointment on CardSmart/EAB.
    • Once you receive your e-mail from CardSmart/EAB, please follow the instructions at the link provided within the email, and sign up online for an Honors advising appointment on the CardSmart/EAB website.  More detailed information on the campaign appointment process can be accessed here.

    No Longer Active in Honors:

    • If you have been suspended from the Honors Program, you should have received an e-mail to this effect over the summer.  In the event that you are no longer a member of the Honors Program, you should seek out advising from your home academic advising unit instead.
    • For anyone who is no longer a member of the Honors Program, we recommend that you visit Undergraduate Advising website and utilize the “Advising Centers” menu to locate information about your academic unit advisor.
