Apply for funds for research travel
History Department Travel Fund
Students are invited to apply for the History Department Travel Fund. History majors, minors, and graduate students are eligible for up to $1000. Travel must have as its purpose either (1) participation in an accredited program of academic study abroad, (2) travel in the United States or abroad to conduct research directly relating to your studies in History at UofL or (3) participation in a history conference.
To apply for a Travel Fund award, submit a letter of application (describing the purpose of your travel, and including a budget) and two letters of recommendation to Professor Tracy K’Meyer, Chair, Department of History, University of Louisville, Louisville, KY 40292. At least one of the letters must be from a UofL History professor familiar with your work. If you are chosen to receive an award, you must also (as applicable) supply a copy of your airline ticket reservation and or proof that you have been accepted into a study abroad program.
