UofL researchers had multiple talks and presentations at Liver Week, 2017

The University of Louisville was well represented at the recent American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases annual meeting in Washington, DC (Liver Week, 2017).  Several UofL faculty chaired sessions.  Drs. Leila Gobejishvili and Irina Kirpich were awarded “Presidential Posters of Distinction”.  Dr. Gavin Arteel presented “Mechanisms of Alcohol-Induced Liver Injury and Targets for Therapy” and Dr. Craig McClain presented “Microbiome and Nutrition Interactions in Alcoholic Liver Disease” at an Early Morning Workshop.  In all, there were more than ten oral presentations by UofL faculty and more than 15 abstract poster presentations.
