Program Information

The Certificate program is designed for students seeking to gain post-graduate level knowledge in the field of structural engineering. Students must complete four courses (12 credit hours) in the program in order to earn a certificate. The program is offered both online and on-campus.

Admission Standards

The admission standards for the Graduate Certificate program in Structural Engineering are as follows:

  1. All admission applications for the Graduate Certificate program shall include:
    1. a completed application for the School of Interdisciplinary and Graduate Studies,
    2. an application fee,
    3. official transcript(s) for all previous post-secondary coursework.  All transcripts not in English must be certified as authentic and translated verbatim into English.
  2. The minimum requirement for admission is the baccalaureate degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from an accredited institution.
  3. The successful applicant will typically have an undergraduate grade point average of 2.75 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
