Description. We will define medical insurance terms like; deductible, copay, premium and EOB to name a few. We will also help you understand your insurance coverage and how to determine if your insurance plan has paid your medical bills correctly. We will review questions you should ask prior to medical treatment to make sure that your medical insurance will cover your care.

Learning Outcomes. As a result of this session, participants will have a basic understanding of medical insurance so they can be informed and ask questions regarding their medical coverage.

Presenter. Carol Kloenne has over 10 years experience dealing with medical and dental insurances. Worked in a private medical office filing claims and working with insurance companies on reimbursement. Also counseled patients as to what their financial responsibility would be for their medical care. 2008-Spring 2012 I was the Billing and Insurance Agent for U of L Dental Associates.
