What is the Grant Writing Academy? The Grant Writing Academy is designed to assist graduate students in developing knowledge and skills in grant writing.  The 2013-14 academy will cover these topics:

  • Getting Started: Developing Your Idea and Finding Funding
  • The Details:  Developing Your Budget and Thinking About Compliance
  • Making the Argument: Writing the Proposal and Budget Narratives
  • Workshopping Your Grant:  Mock Peer Review
  • Post-Award Grant Management

How can I participate in it? To participate in this program, students must apply when it is advertised in August. The School of Interdisciplinary and Graduate Studies (SIGS) will advertise the Academy via channels like graduate students mailing list and UofL Today. Applicants will need to submit a letter and recommendation from their departments along with an application letter. For more information, see the 2013 announcement for the Academy or emailmichelle.rodems@louisville.edu
