The Development Office is responsible for university-wide fundraising. It seeks to engage UofL alumni and friends in philanthropic support of the university's mission: to become a preeminent metropolitan research and teaching university.

Office of the Vice President for University Advancement

The Development Office is one of five units that reports to the Office of the Vice President for University Advancement. The other units are alumni, communications and marketing and governmental relations.

The Office of University Advancement represents UofL to its alumni, friends, faculty, staff and students; government agencies and leaders; new media; campus visitors; and the community at large. It provides access to the information, expertise and programming that the university offers.
