Get Healthy Now Wellness Center Member of the Month - April
Congratulations to Mahsa Badami for being Get Healthy Now’s Member of the Month for April. This month’s theme is Global Health. Keep reading to learn more about how Mahsa implements her healthy habits to keep her motivated while pursuing her health journey.
Mahsa has worked at U of L for 4 years as a PhD student in the Computer Science and Computer Engineering department at the Speed School of Engineering. Her favorite hobbies are traveling and experiencing the beauty, food and people of different regions. She also enjoys outdoor activities.
In the last 6 months, Mahsa increased her amount of time spent exercising per week. She has been participating in personal training sessions 3x a week and has experienced improvements in her overall health and well-being. During her personal training sessions, she focuses on her strength training and continues to strive to achieve her strength goals. She also improved her healthy eating habits by cooking her own meals at home and preparing healthy snacks for her long hours at work. She was able to make them a healthy lifestyle habit and desires to keep exploring more options.
In relation to April’s wellness theme of Global Health, Mahsa travels frequently for her job and wants to adopt a healthy lifestyle routine that she can utilize while traveling across the world. She is used to exercising indoors and wants to change it up to keep things exciting. Mahsa is very dedicated to her health journey by consistently visiting GHN and being a loyal Personal Training participant. She credits her motivation and dedication to the excellent Personal Training staff, Jamie and Coreena, and wellness programs offered by Get Healthy Now.
What’s on Mahsa’s “Bucket List”? She wants to learn Parkour! Wow!
