Louisville, Ky. -- During the Kentucky State Fair, the Kentucky Cancer Program, in partnership with UofL Health Care, the V Foundation, Metropolitan Urology, Allied Urology and the Prostate Conditions Education Council, is offering free PSA blood test and digital rectal exam screenings for prostate cancer. The screenings will also support a research study that will utilize plasma thermogram technology developed at UofL to attempt to establish a signature for prostate cancer that will hopefully prove useful for early detection and diagnosis.
