UofL luncheon talk canceled, rescheduled as free May 13 lecture

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An April 15 luncheon talk by Jefferson County Public Schools Superintendent Sheldon Berman has been canceled and rescheduled as a May 13 lecture.
UofL’s College of Arts and Sciences sponsors the UofL NETWORK luncheon series and will offer Berman’s lecture. NETWORK is an acronym for New Energy to Work Out Racial Kinks.
Berman will discuss “Jefferson County Public Schools Student Assignment Plan” at 1 p.m. May 13 in Chao Auditorium, Ekstrom Library. He is expected to talk about his district’s plan for elementary schools including its guiding principles, development and revisions as well as concerns related to the assignment of students.
The free, public event will include refreshments.
