OK Go is a Grammy Award-winning band which formed in the late 1990s in Chicago. The band has released three full-length records, toured the world and released numerous viral videos that have been viewed by millions. Its treadmill video for the song "Here It Goes Again," from its second release, has been viewed more than 52 million times.
Currently, the band is touring in support of its latest album, "Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky," which was released in January. Already this year the band has formed its own label, Paracadute; released three viral video smashes, including the Rube Goldberg Machine video for the song "This Too Shall Pass"; and has won a Webby Award for "Film and Video Artist of The Year." Spin magazine called "Of Blue Coulour Of The Sky" "ambitious" and "blissful." And the United Kingdom's NME called the CD "a quick hit of quirky, optimistic big band pop."
The festival and concert are presented by ear X-tacy, 91.9 WFPK, the Louisville Independent Business Alliance, UofL Student Government Association, UofL Student Activities Board and UofL's Office of the President. The concert is produced by Production Simple LLC.
