Every Sunday help the Sustainability Council turn “trash” into treasure as they manage UofL’s volunteer-powered community composting operation. Dress to get dirty. Tools provided. Learn about worm composting and becoming a UofL EcoRep. All participants will be welcome to haul home some rich UofL compost for their own gardening projects in whatever containers/vehicles they bring.

Floyd Theatre

Hear Samuel Brinton, son of two Southern Baptist ministers and survivor of gay conversion therapy, describe his years of “reparative therapy” designed to "cure" Sam's homosexuality. Sam speaks about their experiences in the hopes that others who have endured similar struggles will find hope. Following Sam's 6:30 talk with Q&A is a 7:30 showing of the film "Boy Erased."

Garden Commons by the Cultural Center

Community partner Dave Barker will be discussing the process of tapping sweet sap producing trees and leading a demonstration of how to tap. From there, we will tap trees on campus. Volunteers can assist in helping collect sap which will be turned into syrup for the annual pancake party.
