Variable Choices by Jacqlynn Hamilton was selected as the winner of the BinC category in the 2013 A&S Student Art Show! Jacqlynn used mixed media (digitally generated image decoupage overlay on canvas incorporated with acrylic) to convey her response to the following quote from The Other Wes Moore by Wes Moore:
“What changed was that I found myself surrounded by people- starting with my mom, grandparents, uncles, and aunts, and leading to a string of wonderful role models and mentors – who kept pushing me to see more than what was directly in front of me, to see the boundless possibilities of the wider world and the unexplored possibilities within myself."
To read more about Jacqlynn's response to the prompt, check out her artist statement. Thank you to all of the entrants, and congratulations again to the winner!
