All University of Louisville facilities are inspected annually by the State Fire Marshal’s office.  In addition, all fire protection equipment is tested separately in accordance to Commonwealth of Kentucky regulations.  Fire Safety Inspections are also conducted in high risk campus buildings on a scheduled basis.  Members of the University Community can file fire safety complaints by using the Safety Report Form.  Fire Safety complaints are followed up with an inspection of the area in question.  Departments may request safety inspections of their area to improve fire safety for their occupants.  Contact the University Fire Marshal at 852-FIRE for details and to schedule an inspection.
