Direct Deposit

Direct Deposit Information

Direct Deposit is the fastest and most convenient way to receive your paycheck. With direct deposit, your wages will be transferred electronically into your bank account. The University of Louisville now offers a self-service option for employees to add, delete or make changes to their direct deposit and banking information. Additionally, all employees can now have their paycheck directed to more than one banking account.

In ULink, under Faculty/Staff > Personal Information, you can view your pay statement and sign up for direct deposit. To get started, all you need is your UofL userID, password and bank account information. Bank account information can be found on a current check or obtained from your bank.

Warning

Our system has time limitations on deletions of an account. Please plan accordingly and use our quick-start guides or videos for assistance.

If you currently have only one direct deposit account and choose to delete that account using the Delete button, the system will not allow you to add any additional direct deposit information on that calendar day. If you want to replace your single current account information with a new account, please choose the Edit button and enter the new account / bank information in the applicable fields on the page.

New Features

  • Red Flag Email Process

A "red flag" email process provides fraud and hacking protection measures. UofL employees, whether or not they were the ones initiating the change, will receive an email alerting them every time a change has occurred in their direct deposit information.

  • Email Notification of Paper Check

In certain circumstances, an employee will receive full or partial paycheck via direct deposit but also receive a paper paycheck. If so, an email notification will be sent after payroll confirmation has been completed. If you have questions regarding paper paychecks, contact Business Operations.

  • Blocked Access / System Not Available

This protective measure does not allow access to the self-service direct deposit page during the University's payroll calculation and confirmation processes. We recommend that employees do not wait until just prior to receiving their paychecks to enroll or change direct deposit information.

  • Can't find your bank?

If your bank is not listed as an option for Direct Deposit, use this form to notify Payroll to add bank information to the Self Service process. You will be contacted by Business Operations when the listing has been added by the Payroll office.
