Hospital Volunteer Advocates:
Assist survivors at area hospital emergency rooms by collecting information as necessary and providing advocacy, information, support and options.
Children's Volunteer Advocates:
Tutor children, participate in group activities, provide one-on-one time and assist during field trips.
Legal Volunteer Advocates:
Support survivors by collecting information, accompanying them to court hearings and monitoring relevant court proceedings.
English Tutor Volunteers:
Encourage adult and children survivors in learning and practicing the English language through listening, modeling, utilizing written materials and conversation.
Voices of Strength Volunteers:
Educate community audiences about The Center's mission through information sharing opportunities that dispel myths and increase knowledge.
Special Events Volunteers:
Help with administration, planning and implementation of Celebration of Service and Survival, and other fundraising events.
Administrative Activities Volunteers:
Help with filing, mail preparations, data entry, phone calls and other needs.

Louisville Asset Building Coalition

Areas of Service: Financial literacy and education, community tax assistance (no cost), family/individual asset building
Intake Specialist: Greet tax client, verify identification, make sure client has all needed documentation, determine eligibility, determine type of return, answer basic questions, control waiting room. Must be certified at the basic level.
Greeter: Greet tax client, make sure they are signed in, verify identification, give list of required documentation to clients, control waiting room
Tax Preparer: Prepare tax returns based on level of certification, answer tax law questions based on level of certification, visually verify all data entered on tax return, verify documentation is valid and for the current year.
Site Coordinator: Prepare tax returns up to the intermediate or advanced level, ensure quality review process, answer tax questions, assist preparers when needed, verify all documentation needed is collected and all signatures are obtained that are needed, ensure IRS forms are e-filed and/or mailed appropriately, make sure all client data is stored securely and site runs smoothly.
Site Coordinator Assistant E-filer: Assist Site Coordinator in all class. Must be certified at intermediate or advanced level.
Volunteer Support: Provide snacks, drinks, make copies, control wait room flow. No certification required.

Blood Service Volunteers:
The Donor Receptionist/Greeter assists the Red Cross in accomplishing its mission by welcoming blood donors and providing a professional registration process for blood collection. Shifts typically last 4-6 hours and can be located at either downtown collection site or at community mobiles.
Canteen Worker:
Assist donors by providing attention, care, and refreshments following their blood donation. Shifts typically last 4-6 hours and can be located at either downtown collection site or at community mobiles.
Red Cross Clerical Volunteers:
Administrative Assistant aids in office administration including general office filing, general upkeep of office records, checking invoices, copying, faxing, and shredding in various departments. Some qualifications include Microsoft Suite Skills and organizational skills. Volunteers are needed particularly during business hours.
