Knowledge Exchange Network
The Knowledge Exchange Network of the Center for Environmental Genomics and Integrative Biology can be visualized on the basis of four distinct nodes.

~
Purpose refers to strategy, leadership and culture.
Inputs refer to resources, technological assets and people.
Operations refer to design, production and delivery issues
Outputs refer to communication and services
CEGIB functions as a Knowledge Exchange Network constituted by nodes (Facility Cores, External and Internal Advisory Boards, Administrative Core, Pilot Project Program, Career Development Program and Community Outreach Core) that are connected by links that denote relationships among different investigators.
The resolution of nodes and linkages can filter down at all levels so that network sub-structures are connected into an entire network
Center investigators include established and junior investigators classified on the basis of defined criteria into one of three categories, namely, full or associate membership or staff investigator.
All Center investigators share overlapping interests in three thematic areas of scientific interest that include environmental cardiology, environmental carcinogenesis and developmental origins of health and disease.
