National Student Exchange

National Student Exchange (NSE) allows you to study away at one of nearly 200 colleges and universities in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  The program provides a great opportunity to take courses and engage in programs not offered at U of L; to takes classes with different professors; to experience college life in a new place; to scout out graduate/professional schools and potential career options; and to meet new people—all while paying U of L tuition.

In order to participate in NSE, you must complete an application through the campus office; be enrolled at U of L as a full-time student; be in good standing at U of L; and have a 2.5 cumulative GPA (as well as a 2.5 in the semester immediately preceding exchange).  Additional requirements and restrictions may apply, and the NSE coordinator will inform you of those.

For more information about the program, please visit and click “Students.”  The campus profile pages (listed alphabetically by state on the right-hand side of the Students page) are useful for evaluating possible exchange destinations.

For even more information about the program and process, please contact Andrew Grubb, the program's coordinator Andrew Grubb at (502) 852-1482.
