Internship Qualifications
Applicants seeking to earn academic credit for English 450 Cooperative Internship in English Studies must meet the following general criteria:
- Must be at least a junior (earned 60 credit hours), majoring or minoring in English
- Must have a least a 3.0 cumulative GPA, with 3.25 in at least six hours of English courses beyond English 101-102 (applicants who narrowly do not meet this criterion are considered case by case)
- Must have completed English 300, 303, 306, 309, or 310
Certain internships employers may have specific qualifications for class standing, coursework, computer skills, or prior experience to qualify.
