It is advisable that you contact the English Studies Internship Coordinator at least in semester before you intend to begin the internship, earlier if possible.

You will be asked to discuss your needs, interests, and career goals. She will explain what you will need to do to earn academic credit for English 450, and will answer, or get the answers to, any questions that you may have. It is best to bring a copy of your current resume, if you have one, and a copy of your (unofficial) transcript with you to this first meeting.

Eventually you will need to fill out the some paper work and prepare a current resume which you will use in applying for an internship, both of which will become part of the coordinator's regular reports to the department's Undergraduate Committee which oversees the program.
