GRADUATE PROGRAM CALENDAR- SUMMER 2012

 April 3 (Tues.) - Early Registration begins for Summer and Fall 2012 classes.

April 27 (Fri.) Last day to submit an M.A. thesis prospectus for an August 2012 degree. Prospectus must be approved at least three months prior to the final oral examination. Submit a Thesis/Dissertation Advisory Committee Appointment form (can be found here (login with your UofL userid & password). See the Graduate Program Guidelines for more information on the requirements and processes for prospecti.

May 7 (Mon)- Classes begin (Term I).

May 7 (Mon)- Last day of registration (Term I)

May 8 (Tues) - Last day to drop/add (Term I)

May 17 (Thurs)- Last day to withdraw (Term I)

May 25 (Fri.) Last day of Term I classes.

May 28 (Mon.) - Memorial Day -- No class, offices closed. (university holiday)

May 29 (Tues)- Classes begin (Term II).

May 29 (Tues)- Last day of registration (Term II).

June 1 (Fri.) Last day to drop/add (Term II)

June 1 (Fri.) Last day for August 2012 degree candidates to submit non-thesis option (culminating project) PROSPECTUS to the Graduate Program Assistant (k.habeeb@louisville.edu). Prospectus must be approved (either by signature or email) by your advisor before submission. See the Graduate Program Guidelines for more information on the requirements and processes for prospecti.

June 4 (Mon.)- Last day to apply for August 2012 degree. (Apply via Ulink.)

June 14 (Thurs)- Last day to withdraw (Term II).

July 2 (Mon.)- Last day of classes (Term II).

July 4 (Wed.) Independence Day. No class; offices closed. (University Holiday)

July 3 (Tues.)- Classes begin (Term III).

July 3 (Tues.) - Last day of registration (Term III)

July 5 (Thurs.)- Last day to drop/add (Term III).

July 14 (Sat)- Language proficiency exams: 9:00am-12:00 noon. (Pre-Register by July 1)

July 19 (Thurs.)- Last day to withdraw (Term III).

July 30 (Mon)- Recommended last day for a thesis or dissertation Oral Defense for an August degree (submit Oral Examination Schedule form at least two weeks prior to defense to Habeeb (can be found at http://graduate.louisville.edu/forms).

July 30 (Mon)- Completed culminating projects (approved by your advisor) due to the Graduate Program Assistant (submit a paper copy AND a digital copy by email).

August 1 to 3 (Wed.-Fri.) Culminating projects discussions with the CP Committee and your advisor.

August 7 (Mon.) Last day for graduate students to submit defended theses/dissertations to the Graduate School (Houchens 105).

August 7 (Mon.) Last day of Term III classes

August 7 (Tues..)- degree date, Summer 2012
