Bio

One of the winners of the "K. Patricia Cross Future Leader Award" (2012), Shyam Sharma is a fourth year PhD Fellow in Rhetoric and Composition. He is currently on fellowship, completing his dissertation.  His professional interests include writing in the disciplines, language policy and the politics of language, cross-cultural issues in composition, the intersection of global popular culture and local literacy practices around the world, teaching with technology for enhancing collaborative learning in the classroom, research on professional development of graduate students, and transnational professional networking among scholars of English language and literacy.
