BioIan Stansel is the author of the short story collection Everybody’s Irish (Five Chapters Books), a finalist for the PEN/Bingham prize for debut fiction. His fiction has appeared in numerous literary journals, including Ploughshares, Joyland, Ecotone, Cincinnati Review, and Antioch Review, as well as in several anthologies. His nonfiction has appeared in CutBank, Salon and The Good Men Project. He holds an M.F.A. in fiction writing from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and a Ph.D. in literature and creative writing from the University of Houston, where his critical work focused on the 20th Century and contemporary American novel.
