SARA-JEAN MCDOWELL CREATIVE WRITING AWARD

ANNUAL REWARD $500

The McDowell Award is given each year to the U of L Graduate Student who shows exceptional promise in Creative Writing.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

1. Graduate students may submit samples of creative writing to Pam Drake in the English Office (315, Bingham Humanities).

2. Samples must be typed.

3. Samples may be in the genres of poetry, fiction or drama.

4. Poetry samples must be between five and ten pages, with no more than one poem per page. Single-space permissible.

5. Fiction and drama samples must be double-spaced, between ten and twenty pages.

6. Include name, address, telephone number, and student ID on each MS page.
